Session One: New Companies Act 2016 and A Comparative Study With Other Jurisdiction:
Malaysia has a new Companies Act 2016 which recently came into force on 30 January 2017. This interactive session will discuss the highlights of the new act and compare certain provisions with the companies act in other jurisdiction. Experts from various jurisdictions will provide their practical experience in relation to company law issues.

Session Two: Alternative Pricing Mechanism for Clients in a Changing Legal Services Lanscape
This session will confront the challenges faced by all law firms today with respect to fees. In a world where information is readily available, clients can make price comparisons within hours, and demand downward pressure on fees. To overcome giving in to a price-war, many firms are looking at alternative pricing mechanisms to retain clients. Dunstan will discuss some novel options.
