The topic of Selling Distressed Commercial Property will be presented by Tom Darbyshire, and will help agents and sales people to better understand the legalities of selling a property for a receiver or in circumstances where the seller is financially distressed, and how to minimize risk e.g. by understanding issues such as ownership of deposits and preferential payments.
Emma Leys will discuss Insolvency – the impact on commercial leases. This session will provide an understanding of how an existing lease is affected by either party going into receivership, focusing on tenant and landlord rights and key risks for the managing agent.
