Welcome to the June edition of our monthly electronic newsletter.
This month we bring you articles on insurance and risk; employment law; and the fourth in a series of legal updates on the key features and reforms under the new Associations Incorporation Act 2015 (WA) that is expected to come into operation on 1 July 2016.
Our Local Government team has been busy this month conducting a number of training sessions. Experienced practitioner Laurie James AM and Tim Lethbridge, partner in the firm’s Employment Law and Workplace Safety team, presented an inhouse training session at the City of Mandurah on Construction Projects including AS2124 and AS4122; Site Safety Responsibilities for Local Governments; and the role of the Superintendent.
Brenton Oakley and Philip Mavor’s presentation on Gift Provisions for Local Governments is proving to be very popular with local governments keen to get a handle on the provisions as they apply to local government.
If you are interested in training on a particular topic, please contact Tanya Kay on 08 9321 3755 to discuss your particular requirements.
We are pleased to advise that Local Government partner Anne Wood has been invited to attend the Norman Waterhouse Local Government conference in Adelaide on 12 August.
