The Personal Property Securities Act 2009 (Cth) (the Act) has been in force for over three years. In the April issue of the LexisNexis Inhouse Counsel newsletter Louis van Aardt reviewed the much anticipated final report into the statutory review of the Act, which was tabled in Parliament in March 2015.
Louis examines, in particular, some reform proposals in relation to the treatment of bailments as Personal Property Securities leases and the report’s finding into simplification of the Personal Property Securities Register.
