Kott Gunning and its Insurance Partners acknowledged in Doyles Guide

Doyles Guide is an independent guide to the legal profession in Australia, with rankings compiled through feedback from in-house counsel and peers practising in Australia. Recently the results in respect of insurance firms and leading practitioners for 2015 were released.

Kott Gunning Lawyers and the insurance partners were acknowledged and feature in the directory. The online peer-based surveys and extensive telephone and face to face interviews with clients, peers and relevant industry bodies, reflect that the partners’ and firm’s approach to providing relevant, appropriate advice in a down to earth, no-fuss way is appreciated by clients and recognised by peers.

Listings for firms within Doyles Guide contain four categories, three “Tiers” and “Recommended”. The Australian legal community is familiar with the concept of tiers, and it is noted the tiers in Doyles Guide are not an even platform across all States – a second tier firm in one state may be equal to or better than a first tier firm in another. Each category then has firms listed a listed alphabetically, and there is no difference in ranking/rating regardless of position in the category.

Four categories are utilised for listing of lawyers: Market Leader, Preeminent, Leading and Recommended. “Market Leader” is the most prestigious ranking, “Preeminent” and “Leading” are lawyers who consistently draw the praise of clients and peers, and “Recommended” lawyers display particular skills or attributes within their practice area.
